This special machine, designed by us, is used to "spread" (widen) nonwoven products up to 1000 mm.
The spreader occupies a very limited space and is installed at the exit of the needle loom and before the thermosetting machine.
The material is widened by approximately 1000 mm (about 500 mm per side) through a system of special chains equipped with plates with needles. These chains, following an almost vertical inverted "V" path, hook the material on both sides as they move at the same speed as the production line.
The spreading occurs in the ascending part when the chains, following an outwardly inclined path, increase their distance from the machine's centerline.
In the descending part, the chains with the needles securely gripping the material edges continue parallel, maintaining the product at the desired width (stabilization phase).
The initial and final distances, as well as the inclinations of the two chain groups, are independently adjustable, servo-assisted, with a tolerance of ±10 cm for minimum and maximum.
In the initial section, the nonwoven is penetrated onto the needle plates via two idle rollers covered with special bristle brushes.
In the final section, while entering the thermosetting machine, the nonwoven is stripped from the needle plates by two rollers, as in the initial section, but mounted in reverse.
The spreader is equipped with independent motors consisting of two synchronized variable-speed AC motors, controlled from the main control panel (Touch & Screen), to ensure synchronization with other machines in the line.
